Old News

Here's more about the last 6 weeks.

Renfaire

A couple of weekends ago I was able to go the the Renaissance Festival with Shannon and Nick. The great thing was I met Sarah, her sib and Jami (of A Girl Called JamiJo) What an amazing time! Jami is so incredibly cool, we all got along so well. Of course in typical "US" fashion we managed (thanks to Shannon, Si and Nick) to become the focal point of The Cow Guys whole show. It all stared when Jon asked for a volunteer to colour in one of the spots on his cow tights. Shannon instantly offered her assistance. :) I think she embarassed him a bit by her compleat willingness to colour in rather unmentionable areas! Heheheheheh...... As the show progressed the "Guys" asked if anyone had a lighter. After waiting a moment or two and realizing that there was nary a smoker in site, Nick bravely gave them his. Poor Nick! Little did he know that what they REALLY wanted him to do was take their torch and after it had been generously dipped in excellerant, light it on fire and oh so gently lob it to them in mid juggle, being careful not to set the performers on fire. Nick did great! But no.... they weren't done with our little group yet. The picked Simon to toss a Ring on Jons neck while he was standing balanced on a huge red ball. Simon also did exceptionally well. We figured by this time that they'd had enough of us. Oh no............... They saved the grand finale for us. Er.... Nick. My poor dear.......

To Be Continued.....

I Guess I Must Be Wishing On Someone Elses Star....

"Alone again tonight with out someone to love,
The stars are shining bright so one more wish goes up
Oh I wish I may and I wish with all my might
For the love I'm dreaming of and missing in my life

I guess I must be wishing on someone elses star
It seems like someone else keeps getting what I'm wishing for
Why can't I be as lucky as those other people are
Oh I guess I must be wishing on someone elses star".......

Thanks a bunch for getting that stuck in my head Nick..... :) lol

Something for Nick

Here's something I'm working on for Nick.

Drool.....

Ok, I found my object of desire. (The Silver) I now know how Sarah felt when she saw her pendant......

More Old News

Here's more from the "What's been happening to me over the last 6 weeks" file. Last Monday, Shannon, Nick and I went over to a clients house to help out with new photos for their business. They own several "Cinderella" carriages, sleighs, teams of gorgeous Belgium horses ect.... They needed a bride and groom to pose in their new "Limo" carriage. It seats six. We were given the option of meeting the Cummings at the place where the photos would be taken, meeting them at there place and following them over in our car or meeting them at their place and riding over to our desitnation in the carriage. Guess which one we chose? What an amazing ride!!! It took about 1/2hour there and back. Right through Keswick. You would not believe the honking and waving and such. You see, Nick was in his Tux and Shannon in the prettiest wedding gown. People thougth they were really getting hitched! Fun, fun, fun!!!!! I'm going to post some pics now and some more tomorrow so you can have a look! :)

This one is just for fun and to see if Shannon actually reads my blog and notices this picture! :)

New Photo of Me at the Top of the Page

I put up a new photo simply because I was sick of the old one. :)

Yippy!!! I Can See!!!

I just got my new glasses!!!! I love them. I can see. No horrible scratches maring my view.
No arms causing divits in the side of my head. And there real pretty too! I'll post a pic as
soon as I'm near a camera. :)

Why My Friends Think I'm Weird (Hey Wait A Minute, By These Standards We're All Batty!!!!)

I was reading Nicks blog and I couldn't help but send
the following letter in response. (Forgive the poor formatting, it was a cut and paste and I'm too tired to fix it!)

Cmdr McAdam,

This is Cpt.Ward of The Starship Boredom contacting you with a matter of the utmost
urgency.
I seem to be having a bit of trouble with my warp core. Or maybe it's the Space/Time
continuum. ( I always get the two confused) I would ask my Chief of Engineering for
his opinion but I shot him with my phaser. Damn! I always mistake the "Stun" setting
for the "Instant Painful Death" setting.
This has been happening quite a lot lately.I used to have a chef, Doctor, Chief of
Communications, Second Officer and a bunch of disposable lackeys in red suits.
Something must be done.
But I digress, if you know anything about warp core, the Space/Time Continuum
or how to figure out this fucking phaser I'd be eternally grateful. Oh do you have
any idea how to get out of the holodeck once you've set the program on continous
loop, locked the door and lost the code? It's getting a little chilly in here and some
of the book's characters are starting to look at me strangely. Oh did I mention I was
running the book program "Alive!"?

Desperately yours,
Cpt. Ward

Mi Vida Loca

I'm back. What a crazy 6 weeks! I have lots to post about but I'm not sure where to start. Ok. How about backwards. :)
This past Sunday I played at a womens music festival called Fem-ergy. It was really great. Tons of talent
(lots of men were involved in all aspects of the show), great music and wonderful weather. We were schedualed
to do 2 sets, one at 4pm and one at 6pm-9:00 or so. The first set stared off with the techies scrambling to find
enough equipment for us. (We had been told they had everything we needed but we brought our own anyway.)
They were very nice and worked really hard. When Stewart started singing we realized that the mic wasn't working.
One of the techs told him that the problem was with Stewarts mic. (His pride and joy, his baby....) Stu was not amused.
I couldn't see what the problem was. So their system didn't like his mic. Big deal. Try and new one and live with it.
Well apparently Stu was rattled and pissed off. I was not aware of that then. We started off with a few soft, easy
songs then I decided to do "Love Me" (a cover of a Colin Raye song) which is a good song for me. I can really
belt it and it's a story so there is a chance to draw the audience in. I get 1 verse into the song when it happens.
I open my mouth and in flys the mother of all flys. I manage not to react and try subtly to wipe the fly out of my
mouth during the 2 bars between verses. Well it was so hot and I was so dehydrated that my mouth was all pasty.
I couldn't get the damn thing out. What's worse was that it was trying to crawl around in my mouth. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept singing, trying my best
not to get in Freds way (yes I named the Damned thing!) so I didn't squish him. Double ewwwwww!!!!!!!! I looked
out on the audience hoping that no one was paying attention so I could just stop the song and get rid of the bug.
No dice! Everyone was mesmerized by the tender words. Hey people! I'm dying here! Finally, mercifully, the song
ended and I got rid of Fred. (I ended up swallowing him. I think I'm going to DIE!) Ken knew something was up and
asked me. Well I very descreetly told him what had happened. Could he just keep his yap shut? Nope! He
announced it over the PA. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! You'd think that would be enough grief for one day but
nooooooooooo!!!!! I had an encounter with a gnat later that same set. Sucked it right back to the back of my throat.
Just about choked. How embarassing. "How did Tami die?" Death by gnat!!!! After that set I had dinner and then
headed over to set up for the next set. Stu and Ken spoke to the techies on that stage who were unaware that we
we to preform. They thought that the act currently on stage was the last one. They were very nice, just a little
confused. Ken corrected them and we thought all was fine. Nope. Stu went over and stood by his truck in a snit.
Ken headed over to talk to him and next thing I know he's pealing out of the drive way. Turns out that Ken told
Stu that if he didn't really want to stay he could leave, figuring that Stu would say, "Naw I'm fine" guess again.
Stu responded with, "I wasted my whole damn weekend here, I could have been at the cottage" He left us.
We went on and did the set by our selves. Am I pissed? Hell yes. Sad thing is, Stu is over 50. He does things
like this quite often. I just wish he'd grow up. This is a job not a game. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The really cool thing about the weekend is that I've set it up (date to be comfirmed) so that we can have a benifit
at Sentimental Journey (gorgeous venue!!!) for Jenny!!!!!!! Sue thinks we can get a bunch of the other professional
and semi-pros to perform!!! I'm soooo excited. I'll let you know when I know more.

Well I have to jet for now as my sibling would like to use the puter. Later!!!!
