Crazy Days

It's been a wild and zany 2 weeks.

We had the CD release party. It was such a disappointment for a variety of reasons. The good parts were: Jody played well, Nick came and stayed most of the night, my parents, brother and Bev and Don Rintol were there.

We're 5 shows into the run of the kids Christmas musical, "The Day They Found Frosty the Snowman". It's going ok but in typical Mavis fashion, she added 13 new songs to the show for our Saturday performance. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to play them all. The last 5 shows were for the public school shows so the fact that it only ran 30 mins wasn't an issue. However, Saturday is for the general public and we're charging them $6. so we have to add........ Hey! No pressure..... :oP

Shannon got her audition off to YTV. Oh, for those of you who don't know, Shannon (thanks to Sarah!!!) got a job listing for a YTV host and all you had to do was send in a video, photo and headshot. We filmed her video over the weekend. It's hysterical!!!! We even tacked on bloopers at the end. I hope she does well..... The only crappy thing was viewing myself on video. Nick and I are in a deep state of depression over this. (No he's not depressed cause I look like the female, non grey, non flying version of Dumbo, he's not happy casue he thinks he looked pregnant) Something has to be done.... I've just been soooo unmotivated. The days are flying by sooo fast. Ack!

I've started working on a Celtic CD.Just me, no Ken and Jody.. All originals.... I'm going to record the first song today. Yea!!!!!

That's all that's new right now.

Oh BTW: If you haven't already guessed the "Of Mice and Men" post was thanks to Nick. Yup... he still has my password. God I love him! He cracks me up...
