Darkness and Light Ick. I have the nasty beginnings of a cold. Ack. I hate sickness. It's not so much the cold as the asthma attacks that go hand in hand that bother me. However I am working very hard at kicking this in the ass. Shannon dropped by last night with a cheer up gift, a big gift bag of girlie stuff and meds. Bubble bath, creams, nail stuff, vitamin C and Echinacea and tons of other stuff. She also brough over a gift she had given me last week and I had forgotten at her house, a gorgeous earthen ware chalise. This gift was a cheer me up when I had to put my cat to sleep. It broke my heart, it was so sudden and unexpected. I keep seeing dark shadows in the house and start to call "Dutchess..." then I remember. Death sucks. Wednesday, November 19, 2003
Jingle Bells Yes gentle reader it's true, the Christmas season is officially upon us. I spent 3 hours last night rehearsing carols with my band. We have a gig December 8th at New Leaf, ( a residence for developmentally handicaped adults) and will be playing with their choir. I'm really looking forward to it. We play at their barbque every summer and it's the best gig we have all year. The people are so appreciative and enjoy what we do soooo much. I adore Christmas. There is something so satisfying in finding the perfect gift for someone and watching them light up. I've got about 1/3 of my gift purchasing done already. Yea me.......... Tuesday, November 18, 2003
Ever-Obsessed Yes, alas it is true. I've finally become obsessed with a video game - Everquest. I fought tooth and nail when Nick tried to get me to try it. I had no interest. I was happy playing "Harry Potter for PC" and "The Sims". Then one day he packed up his entire PC and lugged it over to my house and had me give it a go. Now 4 expansions and 4 months later I love the game. It's a fantasy, online, role playing game. But this one I understand. Final Fantasy.... not so much. =-) So if you play, look me up and say hi! My three characters are: Glorificys Winterwynd 47 Mage, Sarree 14 Shaman, Graycie 8 cleric. I just got an email from a local resturant wanting me to design their website! Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! Long Time Gone Yes, I know....... I've been away for so very long. My life has been crazy and still is but I need to find time for myself. So, what's new? Well...... I'm now taking over the Stephen Leacock Children's Theatre and The Stepen Leacock Players (The adult group). I'll also be starting a youth Choir, starting an improv club, directing the play "Come Over to Our House" and best of all directing/music directing "Newsies". Woot!!!!!! I'm sooooo excited about that one. =-) I just watched the new Harry Potter Trailer (Thanks Sarah). Wow! I looks to be the best one yet! I adore Alan Rickman! Well I guess I'd better go get some work done. I now have 7 vocal students and I have lessons to prep. |
